After Effects – Cube

Today, we were tasked with creating and animating a cube in After Effects.

I started by creating a solid and changing the colour and size to create a square. I made it 3D and manipulated the rotation. I then created a null and attached the square to it, I duplicated the square to create 2 sides of my cube.

I then duplicated the sides and changed the colour, manipulated the rotation and position to create the cube.

I used the null’s rotation control to create an animation of the cube.
